Our Submission Guidelines:
The Assembly is focused on ensuring that there’s a fairer, more well-rounded conversation. We’re looking for contributors to share their thoughts, experiences, and even that life changing face cream they bought last week. This doesn’t mean that we’re only looking for established writers. We want to help you share what’s on your mind. So, let’s get into the nitty gritty, shall we?
- Content is exclusive to The Assembly
- Contributors must be open to having content edited for clarity, structure, and length
- Any format of storytelling is accepted! Video, photography, digital media- you name it- we want it all!
- We’re looking for satire, op-eds, personal essays, long-form pieces, reported stories- or other original pieces that feature underrepresented voices.
Look, we’re all about transparency. At the moment, we can’t afford to pay The Assembly contributors. While we hope that day comes, we definitely encourage you to explore other platforms that have the infrastructure to pay contributors. A couple of our favorites are Bustle and the Christian Science Monitor.
